Join Pacific Breeze Tours Inc. on a guided hiking tour to one of the most stunning vistas on the planet. Your 3 mile long (5 kilometre) guided hike starts along a secluded Victoria beach with panoramic views of the Southern Gulf Islands. Wind your way through a Northwest Pacific rainforest with old growth trees several hundred years old into a endangered Garry Oak forest and then make your way up to the summit of a mountain top in the heart of Victoria. Enjoy the incomparable 360 degree view of Victoria, the Gulf Islands, the Olympic Mountains and surrounding area when you reach the top. Having hiked a total of approximately 200 vertical meters (630 feet - like walking up the stairs in a 630 foot high skyscraper!!), take a well deserved break and soak up the scenery.

Along the way, walk in the footsteps of Canada's native peoples and learn about local plants, animals and about the natural, native and cultural history of Victoria, Vancouver Island and area. As an option you can include our Victoria city sightseeing driving tour on the way to and from your mountain hiking experience. On our driving tour you will discover famous Victoria landmarks like the Inner Harbor, Empress Hotel, Legislative Buildings, Beacon Hill Park, Craigdaroch Castle and Government House as well as visit some of Victoria's favorite neighborhoods and best kept secrets - all while enjoying the world-class tourist sights and attractions of Canada’s Garden City. This hike is not recommended for anyone with any joint, leg or mobility problems or medical conditions that physical exertion may adversly affect. The Scenic Rainforest and Mountain Hike Tour is weather dependent.

$125 per person plus GST ** combination City Driving Tour and Hike

This tour includes an physical hike that involves walking for several hundred metres on steeply graded earthen slopes, steep rocky and loose sediment slopes and rocky surfaces- all which can be slippery, with an elevation gain of approximately 200 metres (630 feet). Participants must be in very good physical condition and wear adequate hiking footware with good grips. This tour is not recommended for individuals with joint, leg or mobility problems, or existing health concerns that would be adversely effected by physical exertion.

Tour / Shore Excursion Location and Times

Morning tours depart from downtown Victoria and/or the Ogden Point Cruise Ship Terminal in James Bay at 9:00 am after client pickup and return by 1:15 pm. Afternoon tours depart at 1:30 pm and return at 6 pm. Full day tours can be arranged for an additional fee with a morning departure and are 8 hours in duration, with lunch included.
